IRIS was founded on 15th August 1998. IRIS is a private resource center dedicated to promoting the cause of autism and related disabilities in India.
Our motto is “Every child counts”.
Our mission statement is “Excellence, Ethics and Empowerment”.
Excellence – is created by providing quality child centered services to the client. IRIS has a lifelong commitment to the child with autism and her/his family.
Ethics – is translated through accountability and transparency in all dealings, and training a team of like minded people/professionals.
Empowerment – By creating parity in a professional relationship, so that a truly empowered team works together. This objective is achieved by conducting training programmes.
IRIS provides consultancy services to organizations working with special needs populations and individuals with special needs. Assessments are generally homebased. A support net work is created for the client through active community based programmes.
IRIS propagates inclusive and Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) for the child with autism. This can happen only when both regular and special teachers know to maximize the learning potential of the child.
